Director of Music
Karen leads the adult chancel choir for the traditional service as well as the praise team for the contemporary worship service. She loves working with people of all ages to use music and drama to bring glory to God. She is a graduate of Bridgewater College (VA) with a B.A. in music, and she has enjoyed different opportunities to teach, lead and perform. She is happily married to Paul, a pastor in Winston-Salem. Karen and Paul are blessed with two wonderful children, Kaylee and Joshua. When she is not at church, Karen likes spending time with family and friends, being a group exercise instructor at the YMCA, and teaching music at Creative Drama Children's Theater in Clemmons.
Marty is the piano accompanist for the Chancel Choir as well as the Children’s Choir.
She was born in Davidson County, graduated from Parkland High School in Forsyth County and moved back to Davidson County after marrying Wayne Stanberry. They have been married forty years. She has one son, Stephen and are proud grandparents to Stephen and Lindsey’s daughter, Sloane. Marty is also employed at American Airlines. She started piano lessons in the 2nd grade and finished lessons at Salem College.
