centered is a worship service that is set in a relaxed atmosphere, with snacks, juice and coffee served throughout the service. But more importantly, it is a contemporary worship experience centered on the truth of God’s Word and its power to renew our lives as stated in Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. The centered worship experience is a group of believers who understand that Christianity is not about a bunch of do’s and don’ts or trying to earn God’s love and acceptance through what we do.
We gather each week to encourage each other to live within the grace of Christ through faith and to share each other’s joys and struggles as we grow closer to Him and each other. It is knowing that we are covered in God’s grace through faith that encourages us to live more like Christ would live. If you are wondering what it really means to know God’s grace, I would invite you to attend one of our services.

Pastor Mitch preaches at the traditional service. The music includes time-honored hymns and beautiful anthems from our Chancel Choir.
Mitch and Eddie deliver inspiring messages on how to use faith and spread God's love. Occasionally Pastor Mitch will use a sermon series and the entire message is available to listen online
, or via iTunes podcast. Search in the iTunes app for "Center United Methodist Church - Welcome, NC" or "Pastor Mitch Wilson". Be sure to look for the church logo.
Children are always welcome in any of our worship services. We believe God put the giggles and wiggles into your child. Worshiping together as a family is one of the best ways to teach children about faith. A nursery is available during both the contemporary as well as the traditional services.
Nursery care is available for children three and younger. Children’s church is offered during the traditional service for children 4 years-old to 1st grade in the downstairs classes. These can be accessed via the stairs by the entry door.
