Meet new people and grow spritually
Church Groups at Center UMC

Many of us have found ourselves getting stuck in a busy daily routine at some point in time that may not satisfy all of our needs as people. Sometimes, our extra time for exercise, book clubs, swimming, golf, even prayer seems to get pushed aside. We want to offer everyone an opportunity to set aside time with others to intentionally engage in these activities again. If you start to lose steam, you will have plenty of new friends to keep you going.

Why should I join a Church Group?

There are five essentials components you will see in our small groups:

✔ Positive life impact
✔ Grow closer to Jesus Christ
✔ Cultivate healthy friendships
✔ Promote/encourage participation
✔ Empower future leaders

SMALL GROUP MINISTRY

One important thing we do here at Center is help people build relationships for life. We do this through what we call Small Groups. God never intended for our spiritual journeys to be solo pursuits. He created us for community, and in Christ, we belong together. We know that spiritual growth happens best in the context of small groups, so we invite you to experience one of our Small Groups so you can meet friends and build meaningful relationships where you know others and they know you.

UNITED METHODIST MEN

Mission: To make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

The UMM’s objective is to promote fellowship among the men of the church. We accomplish this through gatherings and various service projects. Some of these opportunities include fund raising events such as community breakfast, children’s ministry outreach such as “Breakfast with the Easter Bunny”, “Boo Bash”, “Breakfast with Santa”, and sponsoring church clean-up days. We also support the other church ministries as needed. All men of the church are welcome.

Center’s United Methodist Men meet the first Sunday of each month at 7:30 a.m. in the Christian Fellowship Center (CFC) for a delicious breakfast and devotion. We invite you to join us! Contact Dustin Hobbs below for more information.

YOUNG ADULTS

Impact is a group of young adults that meet monthly within our homes to worship God, study His Word, and have open and honest discussions about the trials, joys, and challenges of living the Christian faith on a daily basis. We are there to encourage and support each other as we grow in Christ. We also look for opportunities we can minister to those in need within our community. Our theme verse is Jeremiah 29:11- “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
