We are so glad you have chosen to attend Center. This is such a wonderful church with a true love for the community and the world. You will find an informal atmosphere where people value you more than your appearance. It is a community of faith with a strong belief in the scriptures and each class gladly shares the love of Christ each week.
The two worship celebrations are unique. The 8:30 service, centered, which meets in the Christian Fellowship Center is lead by a praise team and our Pastor Mitch Wilson, shares an inspiring message centered on hope in Christ. Refreshments are also offered at the beginning which helps those on a hurried family schedule.
The 11am service meets in the Sanctuary with a chancel choir. This traditional service is warm and inviting with a children's sermon and children's choir each week. Pastor Mitch preaches the times less message of Jesus Christ each week.
Come and discover hope for your journey at either time you will find a warm and encouraging place. From mission teams, prison ministries, Sunday School, to feeding the homeless or attending a home Bible Study there is a place for you. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly.
What to Expect at Center UMC
General Information
We currently offer a traditional Sunday morning worship service at 11 a.m. A contemporary worship service ("centered") is also offered at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
Dress for church is a little more traditional at the 11:00 a.m. services than at the centered service, but you will see a wide range of attire. Our best advice is to come dressed comfortably. We think you will fit in, no matter what you wear.
Communion is celebrated every other month at both of our services. We believe in an open Communion Table so all are welcome whether or not you are a United Methodist or member of the church.
Sunday School is from 10-10:45 and there are classes for all ages. Before and after Sunday school is a wonderful time to connect with the pastors and other worship attenders.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
If you are new to church or new to the United Methodist faith, then we know you may a lot of questions. What do we believe? What is our stance on social issues? How do we view other denominations? We are glad that you are curious. Please click the link below for answers to all these questions and more.
As United Methodists, we have an obligation to bear a faithful Christian witness to Jesus Christ, the living reality at the center of the Church’s life and witness. To fulfill this obligation, we reflect critically on our biblical and theological inheritance, striving to express faithfully the witness we make in our own time.
If you are visiting us for the first time, look for our Greeters. Our Greeters are stationed inside most of the doors to the church. No matter where you park, you can go inside the nearest door and a Usher will direct you to either Sunday School, or the Sanctuary.
What Others think about Us
I have been attending Center for about 12 years now with my husband and two daughters. Two years ago I was asked to take on the Children’s Ministry as Chairperson. I can I tell you I was definitely nervous. But I have loved every minute of it. We have a great group of children and they enjoy learning about Jesus!! The Adult members are super supportive in everything we do. If you haven’t found the home church for you and you have children, I definitely recommend visiting. My two girls have made lifetime friendships and get up every Sunday morning excited to come to Church. Now that’s inspiring! - Angie L.

How do I get there?
You can find our location on the map to the right or below this message, if you are viewing our site on a mobile device.
Where should I park?
Feel free to park anywhere. We have plenty of handicap parking around the facility, but the “first time visitor” parking is located at our lot on the same side as our Christian Fellowship Center (CFC). You will find that there are multiple entrances into the church facilities. No need to worry which one is correct, all of them will get you to where you need to go in a matter of seconds. Make sure to find a greeter when you enter the building if they do not see you first.
What should I wear?
Our church has a “come as you are” atmosphere. You will see some dressed up; some dressed casual. We have no expectations for attire.
